That’s why Scotiabank supports the arts. To inspire the artist in everyone, and give more people the opportunity to share their story with the world.”
We created three independent videos that celebrated the creativity that exists in everyone. One video for each of the bank’s three key sponsorships- Literature (The Giller Prize), Photography (Contact Photo Festival) and Film (Hot Docs Festival). Then, these three films were combined together to create a broader brand film.
I was lucky to have the opportunity to both develop the creative with Bensimon Byrne and also direct the three spots.

Street Level Activation
To help highlight the creativity in everyone, we created a free-standing, mobile gallery that featured photos, published directly from people’s Instagram feeds. By simply using a branded hashtag, people could showcase their work on screens, complete with frame and all. The wall travelled the country, giving people in different communities a chance to experience it.
